Miami-Dade Offering Mask-Opt Outs In Middle And High Schools

Claiming all requirements having been met, Miami-Dade public schools will now offer parents of middle and high schoolers an opt-out for mandatory student mask use.

Superintendent Alberto Carvalho says the new policy is effective immediately. He adds further relaxation of rules at elementary and K-8 centers should come in the near future.

Broward public schools loosened its mask rules today in high schools, now only strongly encouraging them but not requiring them.
