Florida entered this week averaging fewer than 5,000 daily COVID-19 cases for the first time in nearly three months. Hospitalizations due to COVID-19 also fell below 5,000. There are 4,979 Floridians hospitalized with the virus. Hospitalizations are now the lowest since July 19th.
The space industry is now Florida’s fastest growth industry generating over $4 billion annually in the state of Florida. This announcement was made over the weekend by NASA Administrator Bill Nelson and comes on back of the recent announcement of the creation of a new $300 million satellite manufacturing plant on the Space Coast. Florida’s previous top growth industry is still rapidly growing.
Florida’s Trulieve closed a near $2.2 billion purchase of Harvest Health making it the largest cannabis company in the country. Trulieve now has operations in 11 states and over 8,500 employees with about half of the footprint in Florida.
