A Florida man didn't get a warm reception from authorities after he finished a strange dance in the middle of a roadway.

Drew Benefield posted a video of the wild encounter to Facebook, which starts with a man humping the air in front of a Citrus County detective in Inverness, Florida. It was pouring rain as the man shifted positions and started twerking in front of the cop.

The "dancer" is even shown squatting multiple times in front of the detective before walking into the road. At first, it looked like he was complying with the cops by getting on the wet ground and raising his hands, but he quickly gets back up and moves away from authorities.

The performer then gets tased by one of the cops, leading to them wrestling the man into handcuffs. The Citrus County Chronicle says the man in the video was 57-year-old Richard C. Wolfe of Crystal River.

Before the recorded incident, an arrest report says the dark gray Honda SUV Wolfe was driving was weaving through traffic on State Road 44. Daniel Slingerland, the detective in the video, wrote that a pickup truck had to slam on the brakes at one point when the SUV merged into a lane.

“During the time of the violations, there was low visibility due to heavy rain and wet roadways,” the report says.

When Slingerland managed to get Wolfe to pull over and exit the vehicle, the man placed his hands on the SUV and then broke out into a dance.

“He then began challenging this detective, stating, ‘What are you scared of? I got knives, you got a gun!’” the detective wrote in the arrest report.

Wolfe was booked into the county jail under charges of resisting an officer without violence, fleeing from law enforcement after being ordered to stop, and reckless driving. His bond was set at $3,500.
