Florida News That Impact You – March 29th, 2021

Florida’s recent increased trend for new COVID-19 cases continued through the weekend. Florida’s daily trend for new cases over the past week has risen from 4,500 cases to 5,100.

Over 5.6 million Floridians have now been vaccinated with at least a first dose of a COVID vaccine. This now includes nearly 3.1 million Floridians who’ve completed the vaccine schedule. Starting today Floridians 40 and older are eligible for a COVID-19 vaccination in Florida. And, Miami-Dade is now preregistering residents 18 and older for vaccinations next week.

While all Floridians 18 and older will be eligible for a vaccine next Monday, April 5th. Floridians 16 and older will be eligible at the federal run facilities administering the Pfizer vaccine.
