The Florida Department of Health reported 5,093 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday. Nearly 7 million total doses of a COVID vaccine have been administered to nearly 4.6 million Floridians according to Thursday’s Vaccine Report from the FDOH. This includes 2.55 million Floridians who’ve completed a vaccine schedule.
Governor DeSantis said Florida won’t require vaccine passports to visit our state or mandate it to attend events in our state. Notably, the South Beach Food and Wine Festival in Miami, scheduled to start May 20th has mandated proof of vaccination and a recent negative COVID-19 test to attend.
Matt Jones leads the Honda Classic at nine-under-par, which tied the course record, after the first day’s action and leads by three strokes heading into today’s second round.
