The Palm Beach County Schools Superintendent wants parents to talk to their kids about the violence yesterday at the U.S. Capitol.
Donald Fennoy sent out a recorded message to families.
"As a parent of young children, I realize that your children may be traumatized by the events they are seeing unfold on national television."
He said that parents should let young ones know that the violence was thousands of miles away.
"It's important to remind your children that they are safe."
The message, which was sent out on Wednesday night, goes on to say that school principals will tolerate any behavior that elicits bullying or intimidation on campus.
Fennoy encourages parents to bring their questions or concerns to the principal of their children's school.
