Fort Lauderdale Using Food Drives To Boost Census Numbers

Fort Lauderdale is making an effort to address what it calls a critically low census count.

The city has recently sent census takers to food drives to make sure more people are counted.

A city official tells CBS4 News only 54% of residents have filled out and returned their census forms.

The deadline to submit your census form is September 30th, and you can do so, online, at My2020Census.gov.
