NASCAR's Ryan Preece may be nursing a headache this morning after a spectacular crash Thursday night at Kansas Speedway.
With 85 laps to go in the Super Start Batteries 400, Preece got caught up when Christopher Bell and Ryan Newman made contact on the backstretch.
Preece's #37 car went nearly head-on into the inside SAFER barrier and many race fans feared the worst. Instead, Preece emerged from his car a few minutes later, appearing none the worse for wear.
Denny Hamlin went on to win the race.
The NASCAR Cup Series moves north to the New Hampshire Motor Speedway for the Foxwoods Resort Casino 301 this Sunday afternoon at 3 EDT.
