Mannequins Will Fill Empty Tables At Restaurant

The head chef at the three Michelin-starred Inn at Little Washington has come up with a plan to make his dining room seem more full, even when half of the tables must remain closed.

According to "The Washingtonian," chef Patrick O'Connell will put mannequins at half of his tables and they will be dressed in mid-century clothing. According to the report, the servers will even have to pour the mannequins wine and ask them questions about their evening.

In another twist, O'Connell tells the publication that he has crated custom-made masks bearing Marilyn Monroe smiles and George Washington chins.

The staff continues to do deep-cleaning of the restaurant, even though no cases of the coronavirus have been found in his town of Washington, Virginia.
