Do You Want To Be Able To Do More For Yourself Or Less?

Listening to politics of the day and being immersed in it as a means of what I do for a living will occasionally lead to me to seek a break from the news cycle and reset. There’s only so much BS I’m interested in wading through and analyze before mentally saying enough. If you want to evaluate the 2020 cycle, or if you’re interested in framing it for your kids or anyone else in your life here are a few thoughts.

Number one, what are your goals? Two, are you making progress towards them? And lastly, do you want to be able to do more for yourself or do you want the government to do more for you?

Look, I’ll get right down to it. The 2020 Presidential election cycle really comes down to those three questions. They apply to the youngest and oldest voters. The reason we elect politicians in the United States of America, a Representative Republic, is to represent our interests. There are no more basic ubiquitous questions that are highly relevant than those three. They’re also a simple way to wade through the insanity that is impeachment palooza, the Democratic primary and understanding one’s ideology beyond typical left-right politics.

It’s like this. If you’re clear on your goals and you’re making progress towards them, you’re a Trump supporter or you should be. If you’re clear on your goals and you’re not making progress towards them, you should reevaluate key decisions you’re making in your life. There’s record employment, opportunity and prosperity happening right now in this country. If you’re not participating, figure out why. And the why may tie into the third question. If your goals aren’t tied to what you want to do with your life but with what you want to be given. That’s a choice too. In that case, pick out your favorite Democrat and vote for them for President. Every one of them supports less self-reliance and more government intervention. Some people want that, if you’re one of them, there you go.

Everything else is truly desperation and noise from what matters most. Whether your interests are being represented. I can assure you, you’ll not find those answers in the impeachment inquiry or with the Chinese company Hunter Biden resigned from. Don’t count on real answers from the same news media that represents its interests and not yours.
