TV Station Apologizes for Lack of Tornado Warning

TV weathermen just can't win.

In Dallas, the management at NBC Channel 5 is apologizing because they didn't interrupt the Dallas Cowboys game to warn people about a tornado in the area.

The EF-3 tornado touched down Sunday night, right in the middle of the big game, but Channel 5 didn't interrupt its broadcast.

Viewers usually complain to TV stations when their favorite programs are interrupted by breaking weather news.

This is part of the statement released by the TV station:

"When it comes to dealing with severe weather, we know that seconds matter. We should have broken into football programming sooner. We apologize and want you to know that we’re doing everything in our power to make sure this does not happen again."
