Officials at Netflix, the popular streaming network, say they know who you are!(?)!
In sharing their quarterly earnings, Netflix officials revealed they've been monitoring passwords that are entered from several locations -- and they're working on a plan to crack down on non-paying users.
"We continue to monitor password sharing," product chief Greg Peters said. "We’ll continue to look at the situation and we’ll see those consumer-friendly ways to push on the edge of that."
In spite of the rising number of illegitimate users, he noted that Netflix also took on an additional 6.77 million paid subscribers in the quarter that ended in September, according to the earnings report.
Currently, multiple users can share one account by setting up different viewing profiles using one login. Users must purchase premium plans to watch Netflix on more than one screen.
