The NFL is struggling to fill its stadiums.
Social media posts show lots of empty seats at stadiums that have been historically packed by die-hard fans. Lots of Twitter pics showed empty seats at the Bengals-Cardinals game, which turned out to be a squeaker.
Breitbart compiled some of the empty seat tweets here.
Even in Pittsburgh, Steelers fans were no-shows during their game against Baltimore.
It looked even worse in Houston where the Texans hosted the Atlanta Falcons before a very UN-packed house.
There's lots of speculation as to why fans are opting to stay home to watch the game. Many prefer their big screens and couches to crowded stadiums. Others say it's just too expensive to attend a game in person. And lots of fans avoid games when their team is having a bad season.
