Ed Sheeran "Retiring" from Music

Ed Sheeran says he's taking a break from music.

On the final night of his record-breaking, two-year "Divide" tour, the singer said he will take time off to be with his new wife.

Sheeran married his childhood sweetheart, Cherry Seaborn, in December and has been on the road since.

During his final show he said: "There is something very bittersweet about it. I love that you guys are here and we are ending it in Ipswich. This is my last gig for probably 18 months.

"We've played all around the world. Glastonbury, Wembley Stadium. All these amazing venues, America, New Zealand, Australia, Asia, South America - it's been a wild one."

The "Shape of You" singer started his tour in March of 2017 and since then has played to more than nine-million fans worldwide.

He has said that he's eager to settle down and start a family with his new bride.
