Macy's Pulls Plates Accused of Body Shaming

Macy's is removing plates from its store shelves after an online uproar over the messages written on them.

A company called "Pourtions" makes a plate that has three circles on it. The largest is labeled "Mom Jeans," a smaller circle is labeled "Favorite Jeans" and the third, smallest circle is named "Skinny Jeans."

Tweets and other social media posts suggested the plates were body shaming and shouldn't be sold.

Pourtions says the plates are meant to be a lighthearted message about portion control.

The company's other products include wine glasses marked with "Call a cab" or "Call a waiter." and wedding glasses labeled "Having a ball" or "Ball and chain."
