For Many, Dogs Are Preferred Family Therapist

You've heard of therapy dogs, but a new survey shows many people prefer therapy from their dogs.

A survey of more than 2,000 pet owners found that 44-percent would rather turn to their dog for emotional support rather than a family member.

Almost 40%t said the family dog is the one "person" in the family who is shown the most love and affection.

By comparison, only 23% reported giving their spouse or significant other the most attention or affection in their household.
