Runners ready to take their marks for "Florida's Largest Office Party" 27-thousand people expected to pound the pavement at 6:45 tonight for the 35th annual Mercedes-Benz Corporate 5k Run in downtown, Miami. Organizer Laurie Huseby says it's a great networking event. Security is extra tight, there will be a police officer on every corner of Bayfront Park. This year’s run will benefit United Way programs focusing on a broad range of health-related issues, especially those affecting our youth.
The proceeds of this year’s run will offer Miami-Dade youth access to a healthy lifestyle through sports, physical fitness and nutritional programs. These programs help youth increase their physical and emotional health, while promoting positive behaviors and the ability to focus—resulting in enhanced academic achievement.
