The massive manhunt for the Miami woman Sol Pais has been called off according to the Denver FBI's Twitter account.
45 minutes after the FBI in Denver confirmed the manhunt to be over, they tweeted out a confirmation that Sol Pais is dead. They also thanked everyone for helping the search with their tips and law enforcement partners for keeping the community safe.
Police confirm Sol Pais committed suicide. Jefferson County Sheriff Jeff Shrader said the woman who prompted schools in and around Denver to close today was found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Pais caused a massive scare across the Denver area after the FBI learned she flew to Denver from Miami and purchased a shotgun. She was reportedly obsessed with the Columbine High School shooting.
