LINK: Government Giving Away Keys Lighthouses

The U.S. Coast Guard is giving away four lighthouses in the Florida Keys.

Federal, state, and local agencies, non-profits, educational agencies, or community development organizations are eligible to get the historic lighthouses for free after it was determined the Coast Guard no longer needs them.

It's all in accordance with the National Historic Lighthouse Preservation Act of 2000, which helps to make sure the lighthouses will be used for educational, recreational, cultural, or historic preservation purposes.

Today is the last day to submit a letter of interest.
