Archdiocese Of Miami To Help Permanent Residents Become U-S Citizens

While Congress wrangles over immigration policies, the Archdiocese of Miami is providing legal services to help permanent residents become U-S citizens.Spokesman Randolph McGroty says a-half million people in South Florida meet the requirements, but they do not take the final step of filling out the application. He says the application is 22-pages long and costs 725-dollars so many people can't afford it or don't want to hassle with it. But he says it's more important now than ever to take the final step, so people can make sure they can legally stay in the United States. The event is being held Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m at Ana G.Mendez University, 5201 N.W. 79th Court, Miami Lakes, Florida 33016.
