Tax Scams On The Rise As Filing Deadline Looms

T-minus one week until the tax man comes calling and that means it's prime time for scammers. IRS agents say they would never call you and ask for personal information over the phone, so if you get a call like this hang up and call the IRS immediately. Agents say you should also ignore any reported IRS flyers or emails, that's a scam trying to lure you to file false claims for phony tax credits. Agents say the fake flyers and emails are usually full of misspellings and bad grammar. Filing deadline is next Monday, April 15th.
