Two Floridians Win Millions Playing Lottery

Two south Florida residents are now millionaires. There is also a Fantasy 5 winner expected to collect $215,000.

Brian Bell, 66, of West Boca claimed the $1 million top prize in the $5 Gold Rush Classic scratch-off game. Bell chose a one-time lump-sum payment of $705,000. This winning ticket was purchased at the Publix on S. State Road 7 and U.S. 411.

A Miami Gardens resident, Fitzgerald Metelus also cashed in big with his $1 million winning ticket from the $15,000,000 Gold Rush Special Edition scratch-off game. The 40-year-old also opted to claim the one-time payment of $705,000. Metelus bought his winning ticket at the Walmart Liquor Box at 16205 S. Military Trail in Delray Beach. This store will receive a $2,000 bonus from the Florida Lottery.

There is still one winner that hasn't come forward yet according to lottery officials. The unclaimed jackpot ticket was purchased at the Sedano’s Supermarket in Pembroke Pines and is worth $215,970.49.
