It's World Autism Awareness Day

Today is World Autism Awareness Day. The annual observation seeks to raise awareness of autism spectrum disorder, and improve the lives of those living with it. It encourages people to raise awareness about those with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Many buildings, landmarks and communities will light up blue today in support. Autism affects one in 59 children, and boys are four times more likely to have it than girls. It is the fastest growing developmental disorder in the U.S. There are many organizations locally that seek to help those living with autism.
