First Case Of Measles Confirmed In Broward

The first case of measles is confirmed out of Broward County, as five other states deal with a measles outbreak this year. A man reportedly contracted the highly contagious virus while traveling abroad. Symptoms include: high fever, cough, runny nose, red, watery eyes. After three to five days of the measles infections, a rash breaks out. It usually begins as flat red spots that appear at the hairline and spread downward to the neck, trunk, arms, legs, and feet.
