An assistant public defender gets punched in the head by an inmate at the Broward County Main Jail. Attorney Julie Chase has been taken to Broward Health for treatment, no word yet on her condition.She was appearing before Judge Jackie Powell and looking down at her papers on the podium when and inmate got out of his seat, walked up to her from behind, punching her in the side of her head-knocking her down. He was immediately restrained. He was arrested Tuesday on battery charges.
