Parkland shooter Nikolas Cruz has a motions hearing today for his trial. A status hearing a week ago ended with debate over evidence the defense wants turned over from prosecutors and police. Cruz could face the death penalty for killing 17 people at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School last year. The judge has said she wants the trial to start sometime early next year.
