Computer System 'Issues' Cause Long Lines at Airports

Long lines were reported in several airports following outages that stalled the check-in process.

American Airlines was one of many to address the issue saying that Sabre was "experiencing a technical issue that is impacting multiple carriers, including American Airlines. Sabre is working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible, and we apologize to our customers for the inconvenience."

Sabre did not release any details on what may have caused the outage.

A flood of tweets from travelers across the country posted pictures of the lines and confused faces waiting around

New York Jets wide receiver Robby Anderson shared with Twitter fans a video taken at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.

"The systems down n nobody can’t check in to get boarding passes," Anderson posted.
