Teacher Accused of Molesting Children Skips Bond Court

The Charles R. Hadley Elementary School teacher arrested on child molestation charges was a no show in bond court.

Prez's lawyer, who was hired by the teacher’s union, told the judge Saturday the accusations are not true and his client is in poor health.

According to the arrest affidavit, Alejandro Perez, 60, was arrested Friday on six counts each of lewd and lascivious molestation of a child younger than 12 years old and lewd and lascivious conduct on a child younger than 12 years old.

The police report states six 5th grade students came forward saying Perez touched them on their buttocks and vaginas, under and over their clothing, between November and March. Three cellphone videos were sent to police that allegedly shows him touching the young girls inappropriately.

Perez has been removed for his roll at the school.

"Perez has been with the district for more than 30 years and there has never been a problem," said Miami-Dade School officials.
