Bones found in Miami Gardens linked to Assisted Living Facility

Human remains discovered at a home near the Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport is linked to former assisted living facility charged in fraud scheme.

Mayorca General Services LLC, a Florida corporation, is the registered owner of the three-bedroom home at 15604 NW 37th Ave. The same owner listed was connected to a $1.4 million health care heist involving Miami-Dade County assisted living facilities.

Salvador and Blanca Orozco bought the home in 2001 and transferred it to the corporation in 2016, around the same time federal prosecutors accused her of accepting $46,200 in kickbacks from a pharmacy owner, according to court documents.

The same home was formerly associated with Soby Management Services, a company Blanca Orozco and Yanett Santamaria co-founded.

Orozco pleaded guilty to one count of receipt of kickbacks in connection with a federal health care benefit program. She served time in jail and three years of supervised release with $46,200 in restitution.

Investigators combed the property on Monday with shovels, buckets and dirt-sifting filters in their hands after human bones were discovered at the property.

Neighbors say a shed in the back yard was lifted in what appeared to be the area of focus.
