A second Parkland school shooting survivor has reportedly taken his own life. Coral Springs Police reportedly confirmed a student has died. The incident happening just days after Sydney Aiello, who was a student at Stoneman Douglas during the shooting, died by suicide. According to Aiello's mother, she was close friends with shooting victim Meadow Pollack and felt survivors guilt from the attack.
Parkland survivor and student activist, David Hogg, called on the school district to take action.
Another Parkland survivor who helped organize March For Our Lives, Ryan Deitsch, said we need better mental health care in schools.
Sunday is also the one year mark for the March for Our Lives movement.
