Offset Recalls Botched On-Stage Apology To Cardi B: 'I Step To It As A Man'

Cardi B and Offset are back on great terms, as per a quick look at her Instagram account, but it definitely took some work on the latter's end after rumors spread that he cheated on the rap titan.

On Friday (March 22), the Migos MC appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show to talk about his botch on-stage public apology, where he spontaneously showed up to Bardi's concert to make amends for his wrongdoings. "I love my wife so it's serious, not gaming," he told the host. "So it's like we have schedules and we have shows and I just felt like if I gave a break between time, I just can't give that break between time, so it's not forefront. I step to it as a man and say I’m wrong I step to it as a man and you don’t have to take me back, I just want you to know I love you and I care."

As you'll recall, Offset surprised his wife in the middle of her Rolling Loud Festival performance in December with a cake, flowers and a sign that read, "Take me back, Cardi," However, the chart-topper was not pleased with the surprise and many folks were quick to ride the backlash for his impromptu visit. "When I did that they were like, 'oh, why he do it? 'cause it's just my affection, showing I’m not hiding it, I’m not hiding my affection for you, that’s all. Me being vulnerable, I guess," he continued, adding that the public backlash was one of the many reasons men don't remain vulnerable with their feelings. "That’s why men don't be trying to be vulnerable because when you do it, it's like, there’s something wrong with it either way."

During Offset's recent appearance on "The Breakfast Club" to promote his solo album, Father of 4, the rapper touched on how he wants to try and protect their daughter, Kulture, as much as he can. "People got so much to say, this and that to say, and this is our daughter," he explained in the hour-long interview. "You gotta protect that and check the temperature and see what's going on first. We still will probably not be just posting her all the time because you gotta keep some things private, man. Already, she can't go to places people know. It's just scary too, at the same time, because people be trippin' out here."
