Here's the daily recap of some of the notable developments from Florida’s session. So, let’s get to it.
On Thursday there:
- The Full Florida House voted to end regulations limiting the number of hospitals, nursing homes, and hospices that can be built and operated by a single operator.
- The House Education Committee approved the expansion of the Guardian program in Florida schools it would enable qualified educators to be able to arm themselves within schools.
- A bill that would raise the penalty for killing a police K-9 to a 2nd-degree felony passed all House and Senate committees and moves to full votes in both chambers.
- A bill that’d call for the end of Florida’s Constitution Revision Commission cleared it’s House Committees and moves to a full House vote. If approved in the state session it’d be on our 2020 ballots to consider.
