Yesterday The Florida Department of Highway Traffic and Safety Administration issued their annual report for 2018. There was no shortage of tickets being issued throughout South Florida. According to the report, these were tickets issued by county.
- Broward: 276,585
- Miami-Dade: 700,437
- Palm Beach: 209,406
All in there were just under 3 million tickets issued throughout Florida, more like 2,964,856 to be exact. The tri-county accounted for nearly 1.2 million of them. In other words, 40% of all of Florida’s traffic citations happen in South Florida. On average, there are 3,250 tickets issued daily. If you needed any motivation to behave on the roads, there you have it. If you don’t, well then it’s almost a certainty that it’s only a matter of when there’ll be a ticket with your name on it.
