There's a new pi record on International Pi Day. Pi, in this case, refers to the endless number you get when you divide a circle's circumference by its diameter. Most people know pi equals 3.14, but it has been calculated up to 22 trillion digits. That record was beaten today by Google employee Emma Haruka Iwao.
With the help of Google's cloud computing service, Iwao has calculated pi to a new record length of 31 trillion digits.
March 14th is International Pi Day.
