Milwaukee Snags 2020 Democratic National Convention Over Miami

The Democratic Party has selected Milwaukee to hold it's 2020 national convention, choosing to nominate its challenger to President Trump in the key battleground state of Wisconsin.

Monday's announcement comes after weeks of decision making by Democratic National Committee Chairman, Tom Perez.

Milwaukee was one of three finalists defeating Miami Beach and Houston.

The Democratic National Convention is slated from July 13 to July 16, 2020, with Fiserv Forum serving as the centerpiece of the event.

The Republican National Committee announced last year that its 2020 convention will take place in Charlotte, North Carolina, between August 24th and 27th.
