Israel Launches Lunar Probe from Florida Coast

The first privately-funded lunar mission is now in space.

SpaceX launched a Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station last night.

The rocket's primary payload was a communications satellite for Indonesia.

The rocket was also carrying a lunar lander made by scientists in Israel.

Telemetry reports show the lander is healthy and on course to land April 11th.

More information about the mission can be found here.
