Dillard High School was on lockdown Friday morning after a 12-year-old brought a BB gun on campus, according to Fort Lauderdale Police. They quickly responded around 9 a.m. after the call of concern was placed to 2501 N.W. 11th St.
The lockdown was lifted a short time later with no reported injuries.
Broward County School District officials confirmed the lockdown was in effect while officers looked for the student.
Police arrested the child and not release the student's identity.
