Congressman Deutch Reads Parkland Mom's Letter on House Floor

This morning, Congressman Ted Deutch read a letter from Patricia Oliver, mother of Joaquin Oliver who was killed one year ago tomorrow at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland.

"It is now my mission in life to do whatever I can to ensure that no mother, no father, has to endure the pain that I have. That no shining beacon of light and hope and love like my Joaquin is snuffed out too soon in a preventable mass shooting."
