Police say at least five people are dead in a hostage situation at a bank in Sebring, Florida.
The Highlands County Sheriff's Office in Sebring, located about an hour south of Orlando, reported there was an armed person inside of a SunTrust bank. Local media showed SWAT teams surrounding the bank, and nearby schools were placed on lockdown. Those lockdowns have since been lifted.
The man reportedly surrendered after law enforcement members went into the bank to negotiate.
An investigation into the incident is underway.
