Senator Scott Frustrated by Government Shutdown

Senator Rick Scott says the gridlock in Washington "has got to stop."

Scott says he's been frustrated by the stalemate in D.C., even though he's only been on the new job for little more than a week.

Scott has signed on to legislation that would pay members of the Coats Guard during the shutdown.  He's also supporting a bill that would cut off paychecks for members of Congress until a budget deal is signed.

The freshman Republican says everyone agrees says the shutdown is a "political game" and not in the best interest of the citizens of the country.
