Governor Moves to Support Smokable Medical Marijuana

People with chronic medical conditions could soon be allowed to smoke medical marijuana to ease their suffering.

Governor Ron DeSantis is giving the state legislature until March to come up with new legal language to allow for smokable marijuana or he'll dismiss a lawsuit that currently keeps the smoking ban in place.

DeSantis made the announcement outside Orlando while standing alongside attorney John Morgan, who bankrolled the medical marijuana amendment that was approved overwhelmingly by voters.

The medical marijuana reforms DeSantis is proposing would also expand the number of licensed medical marijuana growers in the state

.Governor DeSantis says he still remains opposed to legalizing marijuana for recreational purposes in Florida.
