Florida Power and Light is planning to install enough solar panels to wrap around the earth one and a half times by the end of the next decade.
The utility says that means 30 million panels operating in Florida by the year 2030, making the state a global leader in solar power.
FPL's first solar power plant in Miami-Dade County is scheduled to come online in the next few months.
