Work starts today on a road construction project that will reconfigure Miami's major arteries.
The 800-million-dollar redesign of I-395 will also disrupt I-95 and the Dolphin Expressway.
When finished in 2023, a new, multi-arched bridge will cross over I-95 to the MacArthur Causeway creating a mile-long path and urban parkland will extend through Overtown to the bay
.For now, road work will consist of late-night survey work that will close parts of I-95 from Northwest 29th Street to Northwest 17th.
Construction of the bridge's new foundation will start in the spring.
