Clemency Board Pardons "Groveland Four"

Four young black men, accused of raping a white woman in Lake County, 70-years ago are having their names cleared.

In the first meeting of the new clemency board led by Governor Ron DeSantis the panel agreed to give pardons to the four men who were imprisoned, tortured, and even murdered for a crime they did not commit.

The victim testified at the hearing and begged the board not to grant the pardons.

The case was the subject of a Pulitzer-prize-winning book, "Devil in the Grove."
