Sick Crew Lands At Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport

An American Airlines maintenance team is trying to figure out what made the five member crew on board a flight sick as they arrived at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.

Shortly before touching down, members complained of some kind of odor.

American Airlines' Alexis Aran Coello released this statement about the incident:

“American Airlines flight 1897, from Philadelphia to Fort Lauderdale, landed today around 11 a.m. Shortly before landing, crew members complained of an odor onboard. The aircraft, an Airbus 320 with 137 passengers and a crew of five, landed safely and taxied to the gate. Two pilots and three flight attendants asked to be taken to the hospital as a precaution.  No passengers requested medical attention.  The aircraft is being evaluated by our maintenance team.”

Flights at the airport weren't affected.
