Beware if you get an E-MAIL warning your going to be hauled into court if you don't pay your past due SunPass tolls.
The Florida Department of Transportation wants everyone to know it's a scam coming from a third-party solicitor.
The fraudulent e-mail comes from the sender SunPassNotices@ezpass-collections.net and includes an invoice from Sun Pass Collections.
Official toll invoices are only sent through the U.S. Mail.
The DOT does confirm, though, it is sending notices to Toll-By-Plate customers for tolls racked up during last summer's SunPass system upgrade.
