Dental records confirm that the human remains found last week near a canal in Miami Gardens are those of Lynda Meier.
It's been eight years since the Hallandale Beach woman was reported missing.
A police informant led police to the site of the shallow grave where Meier was buried.
Hallandale Beach Police are holding a news conference later this morning.
