Governor-Elect Asks State Agency Heads To Resign

(Tallahassee, FL)  --  State agency heads will have to reapply if they want to keep their jobs.  Governor-elect Ron DeSantis directed them to submit their resignations by Friday.

The Miami Herald reports he calls this a standard practice as he works to assemble a new administration.

They were told via email that their resignations need to be effective by the end of the day January 8th when DeSantis is sworn in.

Those who want to stay in their current positions are asked to also submit their resume.
