A Miami-Dade Public Schools employee is facing charges, accused of assaulting a student. Earlier this week, police arrested Torien Austin.
Investigators told CBS 4 News in Miami that Austin put a student in a chokehold, slammed him up to four times and punched him. The alleged victim, a 14-year-old boy, told investigators a security guard at Miami Norland Senior High School beat him up during a discussion over the boy selling candy at school.
The school district says it is moving to terminate Austin's employment, and is investigating. Austin is facing child abuse and battery charges.
