If your grass is looking a bit brown, there's good reason. Our fall was one of the driest on record. In fact, National Weather Service records show it was the driest fall on record in West Palm Beach, with less than seven inches of rain falling between September and November, and the 2nd driest in Hialeah.
It was also significantly warmer throughout the region. The average 80.2 degree temperature at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport was the third warmest fall on record.
